Then Join us for second in the series of our Summer Talks for an evening about Stars.The Even will Consist of two talks.
A talk on stars in general. It aims to cover the following topics:
How stars are created.
How a star produces energy.
The Different types of stars and how we categorise them.
How stars evolve.
What the end states of stars are.
A talk on our star Sol. It aims to cover the following topics:
A short intro to our Star
Solar flares,
Sunspots, andÂ
Current research.
We are then hoping to follow this up with a daytime observing session of the Sun with our dedicated solar telescopes. (DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS. It is extremely dangerous and WILL result in blindness unless the right equipment is used).
This will be held on Saturday 9th from 12:00 - 14:00 venue to be announced.
